‘Saturday Night Live Weekend Update’ returns for summer with Trump sons, Anthony Scaramucci

“Saturday Night Live” just couldn’t stay away.

The weekly comedy show is on hiatus during the summer, but 2017 is just too juicy. So, instead, NBC brought back its most famous segment: Weekend Update.

On the first episode Thursday, hosts Colin Jost and Michael Che tried to run through the biggest hits since the show ended inMay.

While President Trump and Kim Jong Un have been waging a nuclear war of words, Jost couldn’t take the President’s fight straight from the golf course.

“You can’t threaten someone when you’re sitting down,” he said. “Even FDR stood up when he was talking tough.”

Che also took on the recent debate over the Statue of Liberty’s intentions.

“When did the Statue of Liberty get so bougie?” he asked. “Now she’s on Tinder like, ‘he’s got to be rich and smart and light-skinned and 6’4.”
